Dirty Duck
A smart rubber ducky with a dual personality for both kids and adults.
Dirty Duck is a floating toy with a cheeky dual personality. "Rub-a-Dub” makes bath time all fun and games for your little one. After bed time, the duck's adult alter ego, “Mr. Gluggins” becomes your surly party wingman; heckling revelers when the contents of the punchbowl aren’t disappearing fast enough. The duck is built around an Arduino processor with temperature, motion, moisture, and time sensors. A custom built Android app allows the user to choose Dirty Duck’s personality and serves as the “voice” of the duck for the prototype. This physical computing toy was built in just a few weeks at The Barbarian Group as part of our Maker series.
