Neenah Now

2011

The Brief

Neenah Paper has been aggressively pursuing technology for several years. Most of these efforts have been aimed at the customer. Neenah wanted to keep their internal sales force up to speed, not just technologically, but with information as well. With many internal initiatives already under way, they wanted to provide their sales force with a customer facing tool that would facilitate the sales process.

Our Approach

Neenah already knew they wanted an iPad app. With the form already decided, what we needed to discover is what its functionality would entail. We worked with Neenah to highlight the core functionality they wanted and then got to work.

The Solution

My time frame was short so I quickly generated requirements and began building paper prototypes immediately. Within 2 months we had a working prototype, and in 3 months we completed the first iPad paper tool. We called the application Neenah Now because it allows the sales team to browse and find any Neenah product and see its stocking and availability in real time, right in front of the client. It enables the sales person to talk about and show any product without having to carry around hundreds of pounds of printed swatchbooks. See you later Advil budget.
